A unique piece that was placed in the "firebox" of the wood kiln. This means it had burning wood and ash piled up all around it during the firing some of which remains on the surface. A lovely variable blue glaze inside contrasts the orange from the kiln flashing. A favorite from this firing. A very heavy vase which makes it more functional for unwieldy arrangements. A short heavy vase is my favorite to arrange flowers with.
